Serial killer Meena Jutla has returned to ITV’s Emmerdale in what promises to be a nail-biting week for the soap.
Paige Sandhu’s character, who won Best Villain at the 2021 Inside Soap Awards, is seemingly about to wreak more murder and mayhem, after re-emerging in tonight’s (Monday’s) episode.
So far, Meena has bumped off Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker as well as attempting to kill Victoria Sugden and her own sister, Manpreet Sharma.
And viewers were quick to have their say on her return. For many, it seems to have prompted a lot of questions and more than a few frustrations.

In particular, how did she suddenly show up with a limo and a gun?
A viewer called Kerry tweeted: “Yeah, Meena just managed to hire a limo AND drive through the village and not be spotted AND know that Dawn would be stood there waiting for her ‘surprise’ – hmmmmmmm.”
Conran McMullan tweeted: “So Dawn just jumps into a random limo that pulls up, normally the driver would get out and open the door for the guests. Come on scriptwriters how the hell could Meena drive a limo, lmao!?”
rithereddevil wrote: “I thought everyone was on the lookout for Meena? How did she go and hire a limo?”
Elaine Wilson commented: “Utterly ridiculous, Meena as the limo driver c’mon. How much more ridiculous is this storyline gonna get. Come on Emmerdale scriptwriters, time to wrap it up now.”
C Spray was also left bemused by the same issues, writing: “Has Meena killed the chauffeur now as well? More ridiculous writing, beyond a joke#Emmerdale.”
Gilly Appley tweeted: “So we are supposed to believe that Meena has got into the village unseen has acquired a gun and new clothes and a limo! The writers have well and truly insulted our intelligence yet again!”
Silver Vlogger was equally frustrated as to how Meena had been able to evade capture all this time, tweeting: “Cloak of invisibility. Mary Poppins bag of seemingly tricks. And wads of available cash. Teflon Meena had no bounds. I know it’s soap- land but seriously #emmerdale I do like a touch of reality.”
Damian Corcoran tweeted: “Ok so where did Meena magic a revolver from?”
Twinkle Daddy said: “OMG Meena is back and she’s got a gun! Ok so where has she been? Where did she get the gun from? It’s just so painfully shockingly insultingly badly written on so many levels.”
Keith Nicholson commented: “It just gets worse: (1) Dawn lets herself into a random limo (2) Limos are not self-drive (3) Meena has no cards or ID to hire and pay for a limo (4) it’s such a sackless storyline we’ve passed caring (5) we give up.”
Another viewer, Taylor, tweeted: “We know it’s going to end soon, and Meena’s going to die, but just wish she would finish them all off first, for their ignorance of not spotting her all these months, and making us suffer, with their stupidity.”
Robert Hope wrote: “Meena must be invisible – walks around the village and nobody can see her.”
Kirsten93 said: “I know this Meena story has to come to an end soon as we are well into ridiculous territory but I love her and Paige Sandhu has played her perfectly. A great soap villain!”
So it seems that for a lot of those commenting on the episode, it stretched credibility a bit too far and they are keen for it to come to an end.
