IT goes without saying that weddings are fundamentally about two people pleading to share their lives together and celebrating their love with their nearest and dearest.
But let’s be honest, the focus is almost always going to be on the bride and her show-stopping dress.

So rather than shy away from that fact, this recent newlywed decided to celebrate it instead.
Earlier this week, a photo of the happy couple’s wedding sign was posted on Reddit’s Wedding Shaming forum.
“Welcome to Emilie’s wedding,” the message read in beautiful printed calligraphy.
Then underneath the bride’s name, a smaller sidenote read: “Featuring Jon.”
Inviting other members to shame the sign, the person who walked past the hotel reception posted a photo on the forum.
They sarcastically captioned it: “Oh yeah. That guy Jon is coming too.”
One replied: “Holy c**p that is tacky.
“I hope the groom thinks it’s funny.”
Another added: “Jon’s friends and family, if they’ve been invited at all, will be seated by the kitchen and/or bathrooms.”
A third said: “That’s horrible. Even if it’s something her parents did, Emilie should take it down.
“I’m sure they meant it to be funny, but it’s NOT.”
That said, not everyone was so critical of the stationery.
Jumping to the bride’s defence, a fourth wrote: “I think it’s still funny for the actual wedding.
“I refuse to believe anyone could be that unironically awful to their own spouse in real life so it just shows that the couple have a similar sense of humor and that’s cute.”
“Could just be an inside joke for them and their friends,” a fifth said.
