Family disputes
The Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman family disagrees. On August 23, Bonnie Chapman and stepsister Cecily Chapman announced they had not been invited to their father’s upcoming wedding to Francie Frane. Cecily suspected it was because she and her sister Duane are too reminiscent of their mother, Beth Chapman, who died in 2019 after a battle with throat cancer. However, on Aug. 24, Bonnie – Duane and Beth’s biological daughter – said the rift actually stems from her support for Black Lives Matter and racial equality. In a lengthy Facebook post, Bonnie accused her father of racism and homophobia, claiming he cheated on Beth and saying he was no longer the same person he once was. “I have repeatedly expressed my growing disappointment with my father’s progression on his old racist ways,” wrote Bonnie. “After my mother died, I forgave my father countless acts that I shouldn’t have done. He cheated on my mother all the time and I hated him every time he did it, but I forgave him because I did Relationship with my father. I thought I only had one parent. I stayed with the racist and homophobic parents. My mother was a light in the void. I can no longer watch someone diminish their light with their hatred. ” Dog denied Bonnie’s allegations, calling it a “misguided attempt to derail our wedding.”
