Indore: Amid the worsening COVID-19 situation, the Indore district administration decided on Monday not to allow wedding celebrations until April 30th. The government said this restriction will help reduce new COVID-19 infections in the city.

Speaking to the media, Indore County Magistrate Manish Singh said, “Weddings are not permitted as the risk of transmitting COVID-19 is higher. People are asked to postpone their weddings and stay until April 30. April staying home. “

“This will help us reduce the number as the hospitals are now full,” he added.

He also said they had received complaints about the black marketing of remdesivir injections.

“Two people caught yesterday were charged under the NSA. Whether hospitals or shopkeepers, anyone involved in black marketing is booked under the NSA,” said Singh.

The rapidly deteriorating COVID-19 situation in Indore has resulted in an increase in the demand for medical oxygen and beds for the COVID-19 patients as primary health care remains scarce.

The COVID-19 situation in India continues to worsen amid the second wave of coronavirus infections. For the past three days, the country has reported more than two lakh coronavirus infections and over 1,000 deaths every day.

In a key decision to review the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, the government has announced that everyone over the age of 18 will be eligible for vaccination from May 1, and has decided to reduce prices, procurement, eligibility and administration of vaccines to be determined openly and flexibly.
