The researchers found that small compact cars and quirky retro camper vans now make up the majority of Instagram’s top posts with the #WeddingCars hashtag.
Compact cars such as The Fiat 500, Mini, Citroen 2CV and even the tiny Smart Car all feature on social media posts highlighting wedding vehicles.

Researchers from StressFreeCarRental.com trawled through Instagram to name the compact cars that feature on the network’s top 1 000 posts with the hashtag #WeddingCars.
It seems by opting for a small wedding car many couples are not only saving money but also creating cute and lasting memories of their big day.
A spokesman for StressFreeCarRental.com who carried out the research said, “When it comes to choosing a wedding car it has always been traditional for couples to hire large impressive vehicles to turn up at the venue in style and wow their guests.
“Social media used to be full of images of stretch limos and top marque vehicles transporting brides and grooms to and from their dream weddings.
“But there’s now a growing trend for couples to choose less flashy cars and instead they’re opting for cute and quirky cars as well as things like camper vans that can add a really unique touch to a wedding and make it memorable for all the guests .
